The design and clothing culture that the Japanese have developed through a relationship with nature is highly respected around the world and has had a significant impact on global design and fashion. Here, under the theme of “Eye for Nature”, “Creativity” and “Innovation” as proverbs, we present design and fashion in Japan through a variety of programs, taking into account the design and glamor expressed in clothing in traditional art, traditional performing arts and the influence of traditional Japanese motifs on the latest designs.

Our festival hosts music and art festivals designed to be inclusive of people of all ages and nationalities, as well as people with disabilities. By providing sign language interpretation, introducing exhibitions that can be touched, and employing support staff to provide necessary assistance, the programs are designed to be broadly inclusive, promoting art appreciation and enjoyment opportunities for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. The International Exchange Festival, targeting children and youth, is filled with programs on the theme of “Humanity and Nature in Japan,” ranging from traditional performing arts to contemporary theater.
